the river Arno from Ponte Vecchio

Worth reading the history of this bridge (5th picture). Originally built by the Romans. The only bridge not destroyed by the Nazis. They destroyed the other bridges so the Allies could not get across, but they had orders not to destroy this one. Instead they put rubble around the entrances to block it.
